On: Planned satellite megaconstellations could generate runaway space debris
August 8, 2026
They are cluttering the heavens. The men in charge are building a ceiling of iron and glass, claiming it is for the sake of connection. They call it a “constellation,” but a constellation is a gift from the Lord meant to guide the traveler home. These are not stars. They are traps.
The reports say these swarms will eventually collide and shatter. They speak of a “syndrome” where one wreck begets another until the path to the sky is choked with shrapnel. They debate the probability of this disaster while they continue to launch the rockets. This is the luxury of the man who does not have to walk the ground he is ruining. To debate the math of a catastrophe while actively fueling it is a form of cowardice.
The North Star is my constant. It does not flicker. It does not require a battery. It does not fall. If the sky becomes a graveyard of spinning metal, the fixed points we navigate by will be obscured. You cannot lead people to safety if you cannot see the way out.
The stakes are not just a loss of signal or a broken machine. The stakes are the loss of the horizon itself. When you fill the only open road left with the debris of your own greed, you are not building a future. You are building a cage. They say it is unsustainable. I say it is a betrayal of every soul who ever looked up to find their direction. I have led many through the woods by watching the light that does not move. If they choke the sky, they take the map away from the fugitive. We must stop building the walls we intend to hide behind. The route must remain clear, or we are all truly lost.
