They treat the sea as a solid floor rather than a shifting medium that swallows the heavy. If the objective is flow, why do they bring the very tools that cause stagnation?

To fight for a single point is to lose the horizon. Both sides have tethered their honor to a strip of salt water, making their movements predictable and their retreats impossible. When two forces lock horns in a narrow pass, they cease to be armies and become a single, dying animal.
